Digital illustrations for U of M Extension
I’ve done a variety of illustration projects for the University of Minnesota Extension, some for print and others for digital publication and online learning content. The topics range from food justice to mental health to the appropriate use of pesticides in an agricultural setting. Regardless of the assignment, I try to put my own unique spin on the subject matter, playing with the use of color and movement and portraying a diverse cast of characters.
The 40-Day Project promotes mental wellbeing and social support for new parents before birth and during the first five weeks after birth.
Philosophy of “mental flourishing” lays foundation for Extension education

For many housebound Minnesotans, COVID-19 brought about a renewed interest in gardening. I created a series of images inspired by the victory garden campaign during WWII.

About this project
This project was in an effort to update and improve the quality of older illustrations demonstrating chair yoga for individuals working in office settings or facing challenges with limited mobility. In addition to bringing up the resolution, I used the opportunity to expand and diversify the individuals represented in the images and the project was well-received. The images live on the University of Minnesota Extension website and were also published by the U of M Foundation in an annual giving document.oes here
